When it hurts to look back, and you're scared to look ahead, you can look beside you and your best friend will be there.

Rain, rain, and guess what more rain!
So last night it rained all night long and then the rain continued throughout the day, and I have never seen so much water in the streets in all my life. When driving the kids to daycare, I was seriously forging rivers in my little van. At one point, there was about 2 ft. deep water rushing across an intersection I went through. I was afraid the engine was going to get water logged and quit right in the middle of the river, and there I would be stranded with 4 little kids, in the pouring rain, in the middle of a river, far away from where I needed to be. It was so crazy!! I wish I had pictures of it to put on here, but unfortunately I don't. When I was walking home from work, I had my rain boots on luckily, I had to wade through tons of puddles that were at least one foot deep. There were also many very close calls when the buses would drive by and huge 8 ft. tall waves of water would be coming at you as they drove through the puddles and you ran for your life. I actually never got hit by one, I'm not sure how, but I'm thankful that I didn't because I just know I would never ever get warm again after that. I don't even think my ritual boiling hot showers would be able to cure that kind of cold. It was really cool though and fun to see. But apparently, this is the normal winter here, though if this ever happened at home it would definitely be declared a flood.
