An Awesome Family

This Sunday I met an awesome Chilean family. I met them at church and they invited me over for lunch afterward. So I went to their house, and spent about 4 hours there with them. They are such a lovely family. There are four children - 3 girls and 1 boy. The mother joined the church when she was in her 20's and now the family is following in her footsteps. The two oldest girls are ages 24 and 26. The 24 year old actually spent a year in Washington DC so she speaks english fluently. The 26 year old speaks a bit of english and so does the Mom. But anyway, we just talked a lot in half english/half spanish, ate lunch, chatted some more, and then they drove me home. This coming Sunday, I am going to teach the Mom how to make brownies because she loves them but doesn't know how to make them. (She's had them from the box, but those are imported here and are super expensive.) In turn, she is going to teach me how to make 'sopaipillas.' I'm really excited about it, and it is unbelievably nice to have some member friends here. A week from today the girls want to take me out to 'vina del mar', which is a pretty little town on the beach so that should be fun. Also, they told me if I ever need anything to let them know. I love the gospel and the amazing network of people it brings you all over the world!
