Brett's Brother ran the Sedona Marathon a few weekends ago, so we drove up there and spent the weekend with his family in a condo there. We were able to do a few hikes and had a really great time. Sedona is a really beautiful area! After living in Minneapolis, it is really fun to be back in the West with the red rock. I grew up taking it for granted, but after being away for the past year, I can't get over how pretty and cool it really is. The red rocks and mountains towering above you is something I will always love. I really hated not being able to hike up a mountain and just see.
The bark of this tree is red just like the rock. Crazy!
The last hike we did went by this large sinkhole. It was really interesting. We didn't get a good picture of the entire hole, but you can kind of get an idea from this one.

What a beautiful place - I have only driven through Sedona once, and didn't realize it had so many great places to hike and explore! Did you go to the Vortex????
