Another School Year and Track Season Done

I returned just this morning from Kansas City, Missouri from a long 3 days of competition at the Mid-continent Conference Championships. Overall, we swept it - the boys and girls team took 1st place. It was really exciting, especially the girls team, because we were the underdogs but we came ready to compete. Personally, I did very well, I am the conference champion in the heptathlon which is pretty much the coolest thing ever. After completing the heptathlon I also competed in my open events and pulled off 2nd in the 100m hurdles, 8th in the triple jump, and 3rd in the high jump with a personal best of 5'5". It was a very fulfilling week and the perfect ending to 8 straight months of hardwork and training. I came home with three medals, a very sore body, and a very swollen foot. (Were still not sure what happened to my foot - possibilities include: falling arch, hairline fracture in the bone, overused tendons, etc... the list goes on...hopefully nothing too serious though)

My grades came out and I successfully smashed Ethan in our competition of grades this semester. Haha. Maybe next semester huh Eth? ;) Anyway, I'm currently home for the next few weeks, and hoping for a quick recovery of the foot so as to allow me to go backpacking this Thursday and Friday. Guess we'll see. Love you all!
