We arrived in Chicago Saturday evening and caught a flight to Salt Lake City. We got in at about 11:30pm, where Dad, Jacob, and Sydni were waiting to pick us up. It was Damien and Danielle's Anniversary so they stayed in a hotel downtown and all the kids stayed at Dad's. We played with all the kids Sunday morning - went on a walk, watched the rest of the Tooth Fairy Movie (they fell asleep while watching it the night before), played in the backyard and had a great time. Dad and Mondo took us to brunch at Squatter's and I had the best taco salad I've ever had! It had strips of beef, super good dressing, guacamole, etc...
We went back to the airport at about 4:00pm and caught a flight back to Chicago. We stayed in a Residence in Marriott near the airport. We met Mom, Jesse, Grace, and Grant at the Lincoln Park Zoo on Monday morning. It was really fun to spend time with them and see Grace and Grant's excitement with every new animal we saw.
This polar bear was so cute! He was showing off the entire time we were there. He would swim a few loops and always come right next to the glass. He would then get out of the pool, rest for a moment, then dive back into the pool as deep as he could. All the kids, including us, loved him!
At about 2:00pm we went our separate ways (Brett and I on the L-Train to get back to the airport, and Mom, Jesse, and Kids to go pickup Cori from his interview and get Cori and Mom to the airport). Brett and I, Mom, and Cori met back up at the airport, checked-in for flights, and went to our gates. Cori flew to Phoenix for another interview. Mom, Brett, and I flew back to Salt Lake City. Brett and I stayed another night at Dad's house.
Tuesday morning Brett flew to Phoenix to go golfing with one of his friends and I flew to Cedar City to get back for work. Brett flew into the St. George airport Wednesday morning where I met him. We cleaned the condo for Mom in St. George an headed back to Cedar.
What a trip! We flew about 11,000 miles in 11 different airplanes.
